Penelope has been through the refiner’s fire in her personal life. Having lived with her husband in the family home in Wales for over forty years, they then handed it over to their son and his family. Under her (Penelope’s) hand and perceptive eye, an old farm cottage further in the hills was converted into a new home. It was here that she nursed her husband through his final illness and steered her family and friends through the insecurity of grief. Her new home has become a stepping stone to Paradise; a place of reflection on life amidst the beauty and tranquillity of the Welsh hills.
